Scaling a Global Data & AI Platform

This experience-led case study draws on large-scale global insurance transformation work led by AI-Techs’ founder during his enterprise leadership career. The challenge was to move from fragmented architectures toward a coherent, governed data and AI ecosystem capable of serving thousands of users and hundreds of source systems.
The challenge
Global insurance organisations typically carry complex legacy estates, duplicated data pipelines, inconsistent definitions and region-specific delivery patterns. The transformation required an enterprise architecture practice, common design standards and a platform strategy that could support analytics, AI and operational use cases without sacrificing governance.

Outcome
The programme created a more consistent enterprise data landscape, broadened governed access and established reusable foundations for analytics and AI. AI platform capabilities handled more than 7 million requests, while smart-model use cases helped reduce risk-assessment cycle time by approximately 50%.
What made the transformation scalable
The key was treating architecture, governance and adoption as part of the product — not as activities performed after technology delivery. Design authority, common patterns, data-product ownership and communities of practice helped align global delivery while preserving room for domain innovation.
